Your benefits
As an active member of the National Gas Transmission Pension Scheme, you’re building up retirement benefits for when you stop working. These include:
- a monthly pension paid to you for the rest of your life
- annual increases in line with the Scheme rules, measured by Retail Price Index (RPI) inflation
- the option to take a tax-free lump sum at retirement
- a monthly pension paid to your partner or dependant when you die.
How much is my pension?
Your pension is worked out based on your salary and length of service, using an accrual rate of 1/60.
