Retirement employee associations

There are approximately 45 Retirement Employee Associations (REAs) around the country, helping our Scheme’s retirees stay in touch. They hold regular meetings and organise events, leisure activities, excursions, lunches, guest speakers and more.

The Company supports the REAs by pre-funding them on a triennial basis (starting in 2022, based on membership numbers at that point) and pays £9.50 per member for each of the three years. The next round of funding is planned for 2025 and will be based on the membership numbers at that time. 

If you’re already a member of an REA, and you move house or change your contact details, please let your REA branch committee know directly.
